How to enter the Noise in Action Photography Competition
We’re looking for interesting, unusual and imaginative images of ‘Noise in Action’ to feature in the calendar.
This could be anything from an image of our products being used in obscure or picturesque places to a photograph creatively illustrating noise, noise measurement or the impact of noise.
Send us your photos before the 31st August 2012 and you could win a £150 Amazon voucher.
The image chosen for the front cover and one of the pages will win the £150 first prize. The 11 other images chosen with each win a £50 Amazon voucher.

How to send your photos
What type of images can be submitted?
The image(s) must be of sufficient size and quality for reproduction as an A4 image at a resolution of 300dpi.
An image from an 8 megapixel camera is usually of sufficient resolution but higher resolutions will allow for editing and cropping where required.
Images can be submitted in any of the following file formats:
JPEG – JPEG images must be saved at High Quality (Usually level 10 or higher)
TIFF
RAW – The type of camera used for the image should be supplied with RAW files
Entrants must also be able to supply a high resolution file suitable for printing in all media and for inclusion in the 2013 calendar, should their image be successful.
The high resolution file should match the colour and cropping of the JPEG submitted at entry.
Are there any limits on how many entries you can make?
A maximum of 5 images can be submitted by any one entrant.
The closing date for entries is the 31st August 2012. This is to allow us time to select the best images, contact the winners and then prepare the calendar for printing.
Before you send any photo for entry into the competition, please ensure that you have read the Terms & Conditions.
Please pay attention to the technical requirements for the images.
You can send your images to us using the following methods:
1. CD or DVD
You can burn your images onto a CD, DVD or Blu-ray disc and mail it to:

2. USB Memory Stick or Memory Card
You can send photos on a USB memory stick or other memory card.
If you give us a return address, we will send the memory stick back to you as soon as we’ve downloaded your images.
3. FTP
If you would like to upload your photos using FTP, please contact us and we will provide you with details of our FTP server. There is no size limit for files supplied by FTP.
4. Dropbox
You can upload your photos to our Dropbox account. Please contact us for a login for our Dropbox folder.
5. Flickr
We’ve set up a Flickr group which you can use to upload your images.
This is an invitation only group and so we will need to add you as a member before you can upload your images. Please use the contact form to request membership if you would like to use this method.
6. Email
You can email your images to us although we would not recommend this as the file sizes may be quite large.
If you would like to email a low resolution version please do so but if your photo is selected as a winner, you will need to supply a high resolution version for use in the calendar.
